Masterclass Giving and receiving feedback

In this master class giving and receiving feedback, participants examine the current 'system' of addressing each other and take steps to powerfully strengthen the learning aspect in collaboration. In the master class, we distinguish between:

  • Feedback. Possibly in a positive cooperative group. Approach is equal and task-oriented joint agreements are made.
  • Hints. Especially common in disaffected groups. One speaks about each other instead of with each other or addressing each other is non-committal.
  • Criticism. Takes place as soon as the pressure on each other is too great. Addressing evokes resistance, is perceived as 'playing the man' and easily evokes an 'opposite' reaction.

Participants learn from each other how to address each other in such a way that it can be received as feedback. In this way, they work towards cooperation at a higher level. The Feedback Masterclass is particularly effective and useful because there are moments of repetition.

During the first day, intentions are made, it is much easier to ask for feedback yourself first, this way you will be invited to give feedback and you have control over when you receive feedback (after all, you asked for it yourself). During the feedback sessions, participants discuss the state of affairs: which agreements have been made and how are things going? Is reconfiguration necessary?

By booking the Feedback Masterclass, you will take time for depth and return to agreements. You will thus create an atmosphere of sustainable collaboration. Most heard feedback: "We should have done this earlier."

When is this Masterclass a good choice?

Do you think paying attention to giving and receiving feedback in your team is a good investment that is going to ensure better results? Then this Masterclass is the perfect choice.

No time (priority) for a Masterclass, but is attention to feedback giving desirable?
Then click on one of the two related programmes below Feedback workshop (1 half-day) and Training feedback (1 day).

If attending a Masterclass on feedback in your team is disqualified with 'that won't help anyway', we recommend you first spend a day Team building with reflection to follow. This is the first step in the Team Training Cycle. We then work first, in a positive and experiential learning-based way, on the willingness to work intensively together.
