Giving and receiving feedback training

In this Giving and receiving feedback training participants examine the current 'system' of addressing each other and take steps to vigorously strengthen the learning aspect in collaboration. Are the participants indirect towards each other and avoid criticism? Are participants direct towards each other and can things clash? And what if people say 'yes' but don't do 'yes'? In this training we distinguish between:

  • Feedback. Possibly in a positive cooperative group. Approach is equal and task-oriented joint agreements are made.
  • Hints. Especially common in elopement groups. One prefers to speak about each other then with each other and addressing remains non-committal.
  • Criticism. Takes place as soon as the pressure on each other is too great. Addressing evokes resistance, is perceived as 'playing the man' and easily evokes an 'opposite' reaction.

Participants learn from each other how to address each other in such a way that it can be received as feedback. In this way, they work towards cooperation at a higher level. The Training gives a strong impulse and added value once the team is self-managing.

During the day, agreements are made: the team takes these agreements seriously after the day for the greatest effect. Finally, this team training is about behaviour and alignment with each other.

By booking the Giving Feedback Training, you will take time for accelerated alignment with each other. This is how you work towards sustainable cooperation.

When is this Giving Feedback Training a good choice?

Do you think paying attention to giving and receiving feedback in your team is a good investment that is going to ensure better results? Then this training is a perfect choice.

Want more depth? In the Masterclass in giving and receiving feedback two additional half-days are provided for in-depth and implementation.

If attending a training session on feedback in your team is disqualified with 'that won't help anyway', we recommend you first spend a day Team building with reflection to follow. This is the first step in the Team Training Cycle. We then work first, in a positive and experiential learning-based way, on the willingness to work intensively together. In the Team Training Cycle, Giving and Receiving Feedback Training is the third step.

Why do you use the term 'Feedback' and no 'Feedforward'?
